Momus - Coming In A Girl’s Mouth
Now we can be brain song twins.
Chicago - 25 Or 6 to 4
Currently:
Dead Man’s Bones - In The Room Where You Sleep
UNH!
Benny Goodman - Tight Like That
Amadou & Mariam - M’bifé
Elvis Presley - Anyway You Want Me (That’s How I’ll Be)
Shangri-Las - Leader Of The Pack
Rokia Traoré - Aimer
Started the new job. It’s a bit boring, because it’s just training. I sort of prefer to jump into stuff, with guidance, but this was a lot of tutorials. I think tomorrow will be different.
At least they provide training, unlike some companies. Not to mention, free Red Bull and snacks.
Notorious BIG vs Frank Sinatra - Everyday Struggle a Day in the Life of a Fool
I am uncomfortably drunk right now. Sure hope I can sleep.
Tim Rose - Morning Dew
I am talking to Celisse and it is glorious.
Carmen Miranda - Disseram que eu Voltei Americanizada
So many ups and downs.
We found an apartment. It has a big patio for our pets to hang out on. It’s in the same complex as my favorite person in Lake Forest, Tisha. There’s lots of trees in the complex. It will be more expensive, but that’s ok, because I make more money now than I did last month. It’s close enough to bike to work everyday. And the bar.
On the down side, my kitty never came home. Biggie Smalls is still around, but Wile E. Cyrus was let outside by my roommate and he never came back. He’s too wily for this world, and it’s making me really, really sad. He has a week to get back, we’re moving next weekend.
I’m going to throw away almost everything sentimental to me. I just don’t care. Patrick promised me he would try to be cleaner in the new apartment. He was really making me mad last night and he will continue to make me mad all the time. I don’t know why I like him so much. Last night we were trying to come up with reasons and couldn’t figure it out. I do though. So much.
Too $hort - Blowjob Betty
Modest Mouse - King Rat
Modest Mouse always has such nice videos. This one was directed by Heathus Christ, I hear.
Cecilia Bartoli - Vivaldi: Sposa Son Disprezzata
Lupe Fiasco - Daydreamin’
Patrick is bringing his charger home today, so I’ll be able to actual use my computer efficiently this weekend. And by efficiently, I mean waste tremendous amounts of time on it. It doesn’t matter, I mean, without it, I’ve just been watching a lot of bad movies and sleeping through my evenings and nights.
Work is mostly uneventful. My coworkers are pretty much all Christian and while I appreciate their values and wholesomeness, I do feel a little out of place at times. I don’t subscribe to the notion that all Christians are obnoxious, bible-thumpers and I don’t really judge people for their theories on creation or what they do on their Sundays.
Either way, it does get a little awkward. I’m just too used to being in an impolite, unprofessional office. I now have to watch my swears and slurs. I think it’s a good thing.
One thing that is either a blessing or a curse in all this: my favorite bar is less than a block away from my new job. The temptation to slosh myself silly on my lunch break is quite great.
